UKIP Councillor Alan Graves say that he will proudly sing the national anthem unlike Derby Labour MP

After Derby MP Chris Williamson said “I’m damned if I’m going to be singing the National Anthem”, UKIP Councillor Alan Graves has hit back saying he would sing the National Anthem with pride as he is “patriotic” and “proud of this country”.

Below is a video of Derby North MP Chris Williamson (former shadow minister), proudly boasting that he won’t sing the national anthem. Addressing a Momentum conference alongside John McDonnell, Williamson said:

“My dad was an ardent republican and I’m an ardent republican too so I’m damned if I’m going to be singing the national anthem.”

Derby’s MP Chris Williamson’s ‘Christmas broadcast’ was green-screened inside the state rooms at Buckingham Palace.

Can he make his mind up? Or is he just saying what he thinks the audience want to hear?
